Summer is fast approaching in Brussels!
The sun is coming up his nose and the urge to go out for drinks in the sun or to snack on tapas on the terrace too. So we will show you the places essential to enjoy a brunch on the terrace or simply drink a glass.
Here are our 5 places in Brussels where to enjoy these beautiful days, time for a drink or more if affinities.
We decided to associate each place in one of our apartments according to the district where it is located.
Chez Richard / Studio Arty
Revamped from head to toe,Chez Richard retains its soul of yesteryear and becomes an unmissable meeting place. Meet the team that boosted this “Brusselaire” bistro.
In the Sablon district, Chez Richard has recently become the meeting point for students, artists and night owls who coexist with tourists and thirties with children. At the origin of the makeover of this institution? Sadri Rokbani, Mallory Saussus, Thomas Kok and Fanny Schenkel, four Brussels bosses with an already long pedigree (Maison du Peuple, Chez Franz) who continue their mission of energizing neighborhood bistros to transform them into high places of conviviality where we love, eat , drink and dance any time of the day or evening, seven days a week.
OTAP / Les suites Molières
An attractive location on a green Ixelloise square, attractive modern decoration and a unique formula of dishes to share in the evening (but not available at midday) attract many lovers of trendy addresses here. This light and tasty cuisine fits perfectly with expectations, the spirit of the moment as well as the neighborhood!
Au savoy / Petite boutique
On the bourgeois Place Brugmann, this renowned and elegant address was opened by the father-son duo Albert-Jean and Frederic Niels (owners of Vieux Saint Martin and Au Grand Forestier). Here, the Belgian-Belgian specialties supervised by Thierry Strauven are flawless, the service is professional (if not farce), all played in a licked decor like a Parisian bistro slash art gallery. Here, we sign the biggest contracts of the year with breakfast and taste one of the best American fries in the world (the recipe invented by Niels grandfather himself in 1924) bundled up on the pretty heated terrace.
Le Roi des Belges / St-Jeann
The King of the Belgians is the combination of the atmosphere of a traditional brewery with decorative elements that stand out for their modernity. Flagrant contrast especially visible on the first floor where a lounge lounge and a cocktail bar coexist.
A perfect place to share a good cocktail after a busy week!
Néo Cantine / Merjay
Opened in 2012 by Saskia and Marine, Ici is a chic and balanced restaurant where you can comfortably sit down to have brunch on the terrace or indoors, as you wish.
Located just off Place Brugmann, in the very exciting rue Darwin, the two young ladies settled in a building around the corner, enjoying natural light throughout the day. If the philosophy of the place is to eat well (fresh and healthy products, always in season and mainly organic), it is above all to eat tasty dishes!
